Will they be showing “Touched by an Angel”?
A month ago, I wrote about the Middle East Television Network, which is being set up by the State Department to send pro-American messages to the Arab world. Yesterday is was revealed that the network will be broadcasting from Grace Digital Media, a studio that is “controlled by fundamentalist Christians who are rabidly pro-Israel”. One of GDM’s primary ventures is the Grace News Network :
- According to its web site, Grace News Network is “dedicated to transmitting the evidence of God’s presence in the world today.”
“Grace News Network will be reporting the current secular news, along with aggressive proclamations that will ‘change the news’ to reflect the Kingdom of God and its purposes,” GNN proclaims.
The Broadcasting Board of Governors, who produces the Middle East Television Network, claims that Grace Digital Media’s input is on the production side only and that “Grace will have nothing to do with the editorial side of the news broadcast”. I’m sure they’re probably right. I don’t expect them to have stories about Allah being a false prophet or anything like that, but shouldn’t the government be a little more concerned about the message they’re sending?

Grace Digital Media lost the big contract for this service to the Team Group in DC in 2003.
One year later, Grace Digital Media, is bankrupt mid charges of money laundering and taking bank loans that it had no intention on repaying. It was all part of doing God’s business as they say there. 100-150 free lance news crews have not been paid nor have many vendors.
Mrs. Cheryl Reagan - principal owner who was supposedly worth $50,000,000 is not.
Grace Digital is now suing Pat Robertson and CBN for wanting to rent space in Grace’s building at 1919 M Street. The landlord wants Grace out and the nonsense to stop. Robertson’s staff see a good technical area to set up a larger DC bureau in. That is all. Not hidden agenda.
Grace is now tied to DC-based GOD TV and religious business owners in Oklahoma City and wanting to re-structure.
GOD TV is headed buy a British/South African couple who have decided they want a piece of the American TV pie. They would be unknowns in the US had Pat Robertson not showcased them on an earlier 700 Club.
GCT CG1, LLC is the holding company of national hobby chain, HOBBY LOBBY. They are also very very Christian. With sales of $1.6 Billion each year, they are giving money to those with like religious views. $10,000,000 to Jerry Falwell in 2003. There are rumors of them manufacturing products made by child and forced labor.
Grace Digital had been feeding networks with the early Bush/Cheney political ads but now the Bush/Cheney groups will not go near Grace.
Defecting managers took major clients to other DC establishments.
Though the doors should ber locked by now, Grace Digital is still there albeit with 1% of the business it had in 2003.
