Carter was a shitty president, but there have been plenty of shitty presidents - what I can't figure out is why the hell wingers hate Carter so much? I suspect it's because he publically criticized Dubya a while back, and as we know, criticising President Commodus is the next best thing to treason as far as they're concerned. I understand that he wasn't a great president or anything, but worse than Nixon?? It shows exactly how crazy the right can be that they'd list Hillary Clinton ahead of Timothy McVeigh and leave McCarthy, Hoover, Forrest, Davis, and Jackson off their lists completely.
