The Lorne Michaels Vote

The real reason we should elect Howard Dean is because it might make Saturday Night Live funny again. This whole “having a retarded frat-boy for a president” thing hasn’t worked out (comically or otherwise), especially after the twin tragedies of 9-11 and Will Ferrell’s leaving the show. With a Howard Dean presidency, SNL can count on four years of comedy gold!

  1. there is way too much fucking pandering going on with the candidates today…

    i just saw a news report that included footage of Dean thoughtfully playing an acoustic guitar, with a picture of Hendrix in the background. followed by footage of Clark singing “God Bless America” with a bunch of 5 yr olds.

    also, according to the Daily show last night- Wes Clark’s favorite band is Journey. wow- i didn’t know he was a lesbian.

  2. Will Ferrell appears to be the only person on the planet who can do a perfect send up of Bush. Well, him and that guy from That’s My Bush, but he ended up doing that Showtime movie (which, in it’s own way, was a political satire, I guess…just not intentionally).
