Why Kerry’s Cool.
Okay, I’m really starting to warm up to John Kerry. He still needs to take some hits from the other candidates before I’d consider him “battle ready”, but this is pretty awesome :

And here’s why Lennon was hanging out with him in the first place (photo via Nathan Newman):

He’s a war hero and he’s been aressted at war protests? On national security, we’re really getting the best of both worlds here (except for that whole Iraq vote thing….)

That’s one of the things I have liked about John Kerry. I wouldn’t vote for him, but vastly prefer him to Dean. Doesn’t that John Lennon photo remind you of Forest Gump, though?

You’d actually vote for Bush over Kerry? I’m shocked. I can’t imagine a single area in which Kerry wouldn’t be a big improvement over Bush. Seriously.

sometimes i like to think about what the world would be like if john were alive today.
then, after taking a good look at all of the selling out of all the former radicals and rock gods, i feel better leaving what’s done as done. and i say selling out in very stark terms here. there’s a difference between modest “never-even-had-a-gold-record” mouse doing a mitsubishi commercial and “sir” paul mccartney having his worldwide tour sponsored by visa, or the stones having their 94 tour not only sponsored by budweiser, but having tour shirts for sale with the bud logo on them. for $25!
anyway, people change. john kerry is not the same man in these photos, i promise you.
better than bush? hell, joe’s better than bush. but if the kerry campaign pushes pictures like these i think i’ll be sick.

I am not going to vote for Bush, as it is, because I think he’s gone from prudent to pigheaded with his fiscal policy. I do think tax cuts were a good idea, but they should only be temporary. They should have been like a quick shot of adrenaline, not an addiction to meth.
My democrat, Lieberman is out. If John Edwards get the nomination, I will probably vote for him, but I’m not voting for Kerry, Dean, or Clark.
