Bad News For Nader…

…and good news for the rest of us. He can’t even get on the ballot in Oregon :

Ralph Nader failed to qualify for Oregon’s presidential ballot on Monday when fewer than 1,000 people showed up at a Portland gathering to sign their names to petitions. But aides to the independent presidential candidate said he would try again.

A total of 741 people came to a Portland theater to sign the petitions ? 259 fewer than those the veteran consumer advocate needed to qualify for the Oregon ballot, said state elections director John Lindback.

“Even the best basketball player doesn’t get a slam-dunk every time,” Nader told the crowd, acknowledging the numbers fell short.
. . .
He said Nader would make use of another option under Oregon law ? collecting 15,000 signatures over a three-month period, rather than 1,000 signatures at a single gathering.

If he can’t even get Oregonians to support his bid, let’s hope he has even more trouble in the big swing states.

  1. Earlier on my site, I referred to Nader as a dangerous narcissist. I retract that. He is a hilariously deluded Narccisist.
