A little joshing in good fun is one thing. Ambushing some poor kid just because he’s not good at sports is something else entirely. (In case they hadn’t noticed, most humans aren’t good at sports. Nor can I see how being good at sports automatically makes one good at anything else, or even good, for that matter.)

This is so revolting. I am so glad I was generally allowed to be a geek in peace.

If I were that child’s parent, I would be raising a lot more hell than just accepting disciplinary action from school officials. Just because this is getting some media attention doesn’t mean the coaches won’t get more than a slap on the wrist…
