As a college student living in a city, I've seen how hard it is to find unskilled work. It took me 8 months of living off my savings account (money I'd made before I came to college) for rent and food, and letting my parents pay my tuition, before I managed to get a $6/hour job at Pizza Hut. Thankfully I like the environment enough to be happy there, because I don't know where I'd go next. Unemployment is brutual in this city, and I see it every time I walk down the street and get stopped twice per block and asked to spare some change.
