would you THEN vote green, or are they still spoilers?
My vote would probably be determined by which one would best deliver the Senate to the Democrats. If Zell was in the lead, but voting for a Green would cause a Republican to win, I'd probably either vote Zell or stay home. If the Republican had the race locked or the Green had a decent chance of winning, then I'd go Green.

Zell's a fucking nutcase, but as long as he's stupid enough to help tilt power to the more liberal party, he's a useful idiot.

Nothing to See Here - RNC Rap-Up edition

George Bush’s economy is exhibiting the worst growth rate since Eisenhower, despite his attempts to state otherwise.

Jay Rosen at PressThink sheds some light on the institutional inertia that has led to the recent failure of the mainstream press...

I've seen a few people joke that Zell's speech "sounded a lot better in the original German". The obvious lesson to be learned here is that Republicans are much more riled up by angry rhetoric than the "optimism" they like to congratulate themselves for having.

I feel sorry for every reasonable Republican today. Their party really let them down.

i know the Hitler references have been used too much... And i'm not comparing what Zell Miller said, to the ideals of Hitler... i know there are differences there, and the comparisons are weak... but put all that aside and just listen to the tone of his speech, look at the hatred and rage in his face and his gestures... i couldn't help but be reminded of all the times i've seen Hitler speaking in documentaries.

my only hope is that the RNC is just as embarassed of his speech as the rest of the world is. I hope that this speech backfires on the RNC.
