How much more Bush “irresponsibility and excuses” can the world take?

But he hasn’t one to run on, so there’s nothing to attack.

Oh, right: his “Christian” lying about and smearing of others. That’s his record.

I mean, I don’t like the idea of trivializing DUIs, but the pres has admitted he hasn’t been perfect.

Sorta. This DUI was scrubbed from his record and only came out because the Gore campaign leaked it a few days before the last election. When asked about it, Bush claimed that he lied about it to protect his daughters.

And it’s not like he was some dumb college kid at the time. This happened when Bush was 30.

I don’t expect the president to be “perfect”, but it would be nice for him to be honest and responsible.

A few rules of conduct he apparently didn’t pick up via his satellite link to God, or failed to hear because his own voice drowned out the other All Mighty:

1. “Though shalt not lie” — about the existence of WMDs in Iraq, as example. About his manly decisive resolve on 9/11 as he sat silent, for many minutes, endeavoring to calm the American public over the live TV which was not present, while at the same time in NY those in the WTC were finding the decisiveness and resolve to either stay in the Towers and burn to death, or jump to their deaths.

It only he’d seen the film of the first plane hitting the WTC, that morning — the film which was not available to anyone until days later.

2. “Thou shalt not bear false witness against the neighbor”. About, as example, Al Gore, Jonh Kerry, his “honorable” disappearances into AWOL, at least twice; his signing commitments to fulfill his military obligations then violating his word, even though he signed his name beneath it.

About his being a genuine veteran, instead of a fake.

3. “Thou shalt not kill”. You get the idea. Just list the names of all those he executed as “born again” governor of TX, and the tens of thousands killed in Iraq as result of his God-directed military strategy.

It must be admitted that in one respect he is repentant: not having actually fulfilled his military “service” commitment, he is more than making up for it by requiring those in today’s volunteer military to do two and three tours in Iraq, in excess of their signed contractual agreements.

There is one positive twist to the tragedy: as God works His will by intervening in human affairs, there is no need for Him to vote. So Bushit will have to accept God sitting the election out.
