Consistently Flip-Flopping
As Kos points out, Cheney seems to be consistent in his efforts to say anything that will make John Kerry look bad :
CHENEY: You’re not credible on Iraq because of the enormous inconsistencies that John Kerry and you have cited time after time after time during the course of the campaign. Whatever the political pressures of the moment requires, that’s where you’re at. But you’ve not been consistent, and there’s no indication at all that John Kerry has the conviction to successfully carry through on the war on terror.
[. . .]
CHENEY: And you cannot use “talk tough” during the course of a 90-minute debate in a presidential campaign to obscure a 30-year record in the United States senate and, prior to that by John Kerry, who has consistently come down on the wrong side of all the major defense issues that he’s faced as a public official.
So which one is it? Is Kerry consistently wrong, inconsistent and sometimes right, or inconsistently consistent in being wrong (but sometimes being right)? For a bunch of guys who hate flip-flopping so much, they sure do seem willing to level charges against their opponents that completely contradict each other. Kerry’s either a flip-flopper or he isn’t. I wish the Bushies would pick a position and stick with it, but like with the 9/11 Commission and the Department of Homeland Security, it looks like they’re flip-flopping so much they’re even flip-flopping on whether John Kerry’s a flip-flopper.
How inconsistent of them…

Well, I noticed this earlier on during the campaign. The Bushies said Kerry was a flip-flopper supporting whatever position was popular. Then they also said he was the most liberal senator in the U.S.
Well, if you’re the most liberal senator, you have to have voted consistently liberal to get there, ergo John Kerry is consistent.
Or,
If you’re a flip-flopper who chooses the most popular position and you’re the most liberal senator, than the most liberal positions on issues are the most popular ones.
So, either Dick Cheney is a flat out liar, is delusional, or he’s out of touch with the popular liberal beliefs of the nation.
Which is it, dick?

That’s a very spooky picture of Cheney’s soul. There’s two dark sides.
