You’re All Gonna Die
This new ad is completely fucked up.
Script For “Wolves”Voice Over:
In an increasingly dangerous world?
Even after the first terrorist attack on America?
John Kerry and the liberals in Congress voted to slash America?s intelligence operations.
By 6 billion dollars?
Cuts so deep they would have weakened America?s defenses.
And weakness attracts those who are waiting to do America harm.President Bush:
I?m George W. Bush and I approve this message.
In other words, “If you vote for John Kerry, you’re going to die”. That privileged, phony son of a bitch has gone too far this time. It bad enough that Cheney has been saying this stuff to his hand-picked audiences, but running an ad like this is way over the line.
Since Bush has taken this step, let’s take a look at a few of the ways voting for Bush means you’re gonna die :
He thinks the invasion of Iraq was an essential part of the war on terror. Even now, when we know there were no al Qaeda ties or WMD’s, Bush has no idea why people would see an assault on an isolated, secular dictator would be a diversion in our war against a decentralized army of religious fundamentalists. He thinks our current level of homeland security funding is adequate. Chemical and nuclear plants are woefully unprotected, only 5% of cargo containers are inspected, and our borders are as porous as ever. By conservative estimates, Bush has spent four times as much on the Iraq war as he has on all homeland security funding this year. He thinks the war on terrorism is a real war. The way Bush is fighting this war, he’s expanding it to include a lot more than the people who attacked us. When he says “terrorism” he’s referring to the tactic, not just al Qaeda. Just this morning he criticized a Kerry advisor for comparing it to the war on poverty, saying “the war on terror is not a metaphor”. He failed to secure loose nuclear materials in Iraq while warning us about the possibility of being attacked with a “dirty bomb”. If you’re serious about stopping WMD’s in Iraq, shouldn’t he make sure the military secures materials that could be used to make WMD’s? He thinks a missile defense shield is one of the best ways to defend us against the “threats of the 21st century”. Somebody needs to tell him that the threats of the 21st century (ie. right now) aren’t going to have a return address. Why would anyone go through the trouble of firing a long range missile when it’s easier and more effective to just sneak it into the country in one of those unchecked shipping containers. He makes no effort to make American culture appealing to the rest of the world. The idea of imposing American-style democracy doesn’t look very good when most of the world hates us. Bush let terrorist mastermind Abu Musab al-Zarqawi escape because having him on the run would make it easier to build a case against Iraq. Our forces are so overstretched right now, we’re in a very dangerous position if we get attacked again. Hypothetically speaking, what would happen if we had to send troops into Sudan or Syria? Where would the troops come from? He honestly thinks that two-thirds of al Qaeda is dead. Doesn’t he know he’s working off a three year old list or that terrorist recruitment has gone through the roof since his invasion of Iraq? Remember, it only took 19 guys to pull off 9/11. He thinks that “fighting them over there” means they can’t “attack us over here”. Considering that 9/11 consisted of four separate hijackings pulled off simultaneously, it’s pretty goddamn likely that they can walk and chew gum at the same time. Does he even realize he’s made any mistakes? How can we trust him to do the right thing for the next four years if he doesn’t even realize he’s done anything wrong?
Almost everything the president has done in the execution of the war(s) on terror has made it more likely that we’ll see another attack on our country. Bush doesn’t get it, and he probably never will.

What frosts me about the Al-Zarquawi thing the most, is that now Bushco is talking about his links to Al-Quaida. I think if I were leading an insurgency against an invading superpower, I might be asking them for advice, too. Was he in contact with A-Q before Bush invaded? Possibly… but I’m reasonably sure (maybe I should go to factcheck.com first ;) that before the war, Big Al wasn’t BEHEADING FOREIGNERS. I’m pretty sure you can draw a direct correlation between our invasion, and heads rolling in Iraq. Call me crazy, but it appears as if Big Al was pretty well isolated in a no-man’s land of Iraq until BushCo provided him with motive and opportunity. I mean, who outside of the state department had even heard of the pissant before our foray into nation crumbling?

Somebody should tell these people that we’re all gonna die, anyway, and the only distinction available is in the manner and circumstances.
I don’t want to die with George W Bush in office, and that’s the truth.
These MFs think that living in fear is the American way of life, and while they try to scare us into re-electing the gang that can’t shoot straight, they continue to let the borders and ports go unprotected while doing nothing of intelligent use against whatever ‘terrist’ threats might exist.
Meanwhile, a tangible, perfectly avoidable threat to American lives–influenza–continues to thrive without anything being done or said by the preznit until the shit hits the fan. What a bunch of do-nothing hacks.
What fearmongering, miserable failures these people are.

Fear Works for the Republicans. Remember the 1964 Goldwater “Daisy” ad? Oh wait, that ad was created and run by Democrats. NEVER MIND.

The real federal taxes are not how much is collected, it’s how much is spent. At some time all we spend will need to be paid (with interest). All that “Tax Cuts” do is allocate the taxes to our children and their children. By lowering the taxed paid by corporations what we are doing is having our children and grandchildren supplement the profits of the rich today. Is it our plan to sell them to the highest bidder? Just so we can have more toys now? Grow up Washington DC! I have to pay my bills. So should you.

Thank God Our Leaders Are Completely Different From Saddam Hussein: The Next Generation
Perhaps you’ve noticed my obsession with the odd similarities between the worldview of the Bush administration and Saddam Hussein. (If not, see here, here, here and here.) So of course I was struck by this line in the new Bush…
