It does seem odd to me that a religious sect with so many beautiful carvings and sculptures of their religious figures are so easily transfixed by something that sort of looks like Jesus or Mary appearing on something ugly.

I am an italian living in Switzerland and I am roman catholic (to a certain level).

Just to let you know, in case you wonder,
not one christian I know would be so dumb to worship this stain. Same story with the sandwich. Only in a third world country and in the US an overhelming majority of christians is so “out of touch with reality” to be willing to believe BS like that.
In the US, because they have been brainwashed by some “spiritual (self-serving) leader”
and in the third world country because of hunger and desperation to believe in something
and both because they’re afraid to be punished by the “upper force”.

I know that worshipping a statue who’s teardrops are of blood could seem the same as worshipping this stain (I don’t worship it and I don’t think it’s the same), but hey! how desperate can someone be to “see” a Madonna on this wall????? This stain is a stain and that burned sandwich is just a burned sandwich!!!

What I want to say is; this is NOT a religious problem, this is a phsychic problem. I think, if someone in the US would find a stain that looks like Jennifer Lopez, fairly the same amount of people would be driving 100miles to see it, just out of curiosity. In south america they wouldn’t, cause they’re not afraid to loose their crop-field by the almighty powers of J.Lo
