TIVO Alert!

The final rounds of the National Spelling Bee are tomorrow. I’ll spare you a repeat of what I wrote in my 2003 and 2004 posts about the competition other than to say that I can’t recommend it highly enough. This will be my 8th year watching the spelling bee and I think it’s more exciting, heartbreaking, and hilarious than any sporting event. I just hope they get rid of the time limits they had last year. Watching the kids sweat and stall for time is half the fun…

  2. ESPN… the final rounds begin at 1 pm eastern (in about 30 minutes.

they are still using the time-limits. i hate the time limit… it changes the whole event. but oh well… this is still the best thing on t.v. EVER.
