After alot of wasted air time over the entire thing, even if by chance he is found guilty of some charge or another, can we not see the presidential pardons coming up?

To kill this thing you have to get the head of the snake before it is allowed to use presidential pardons.

I hate to bring this up because I want to see Karl Rove frog marched out of the White House as much as anyone but, in order for it to count as treason, don’t you have to betray sensitive information on behalf of another country? I assume there’s another law we can get him on.

That’s correct Amanda. Just like Mark Felt was a traitor to the Nixon administration because he didn’t support the party. Rove is untouchable. The White House will do everything in its power to prevent him from being prosecuted.

I’m sure the White House spin machine will start up and soon half of the population will swear that Rove was trying to prevent Plame from being outed, and that it’s really the liberal elite east coast media’s fault. Then they’ll give Rove the Medal of Freedom.

Unfortunately, far too many people think that “treason” means not being Republican. Since Rove was protecting the party, then by their definition, he’s a hero, even if he’s a traitor to the lesser entity, which is our nation.
