Chutzpa

Oh. my. god. This comment is so wrongheaded it even seems too stupid and insensitive for Bush (via Digby) :

After returning from the summit on Friday, Bush visited the British Embassy in Washington and signed a book of condolence and laid a wreath in front of the ambassador’s residence.

Bush said the London attacks were a reminder of the “evil” of the Sept. 11 attacks and underscored that the United States and its allies were fighting a “global war on terror.”

“We will stay on the offense, fighting the terrorists abroad so we do not have to face them at home,” Bush said.

Gilligan and Gomer Pyle have nothing on this ignorant piece of shit. I still can’t believe this moron is the most powerful man on Earth. Please wake me up from this nightmare.

  1. Iraqis, Spaniards and now the English must all feel priviledged indeed to have Bush’s terror war right in their own front yards, I’m sure they know that no sacrifice is to great to keep this sort of thing out of Kansas.

  2. That’s why you need to play Karl Rove Whack-a-Mole, the contest that lets you be Karl Rove’s judge and jury (though not executioner).

The contest is simple. You get to sentence Karl Rove for his crimes; the best and most fitting punishment wins the contest and a 1 GB iPod Shuffle.

  3. Bush is not the most powerful man on earth. That belief is as “self-obsessed” as “every mass tragedy (being) followed up with a story about how many Americans were affected”.

  4. Uh, Greg? You are awake. This ain’t no nightmare, it’s the real thing. I don’t blame you for thinking otherwise or anything, I’m just statin’ the facts…

  5. Americablog offered something more interesting. What if it wasn’t a slip of the tongue or Bush simply re-reading talking points? What if he actually meant it?

What if the “we” are all rich Republicans who don’t use everyday modes of transportation like subways, and buses? What if Bush just let slip and now made public that he really does not give a damn about a majority of Americans? I think somebody needs to call him out on this.

  6. I suppose eventually the US government will have to move underground and the slogan will become “We fight them on the surface so we don’t have to fight them in Cavern 8″.
