		<description>In (weak) defense of CNN, I think it&#039;s the heat&#039;s &quot;deadliness,&quot; not its timing, that is newsworthy.

But without even bothering to read the report, I will venture one prediction: the report makes no mention whatsoever of the fact that there have been a &lt;i&gt;lot&lt;/i&gt; of unusually deadly summers in the past decade or two. Commonly referred to by us rabble as the &quot;theory&quot; of anthropogenic global warming.
