Bush Supporters vs. The Troops
Not that you need a reminder, but there’s something really sick about the fact that many Bush loyalists will go out of their way to disrespect our troops in order to support lil’ G (via TBogg) :
When Sheehan arrived in Crawford on Aug. 6, her small group started marching to Bush’s ranch, then was moved by authorities to a plot of land a few miles away.Late Monday, a pickup truck tore through rows of white crosses that stretched about two-tenths of a mile along the side of the road at the Crawford camp. The crosses bore the names of fallen U.S. soldiers. No one was hurt.
I wonder if any Bush supporters are dancing on the graves in Arlington cemetery as well. After all, if it would piss off Cindy Sheehan, it must be the right thing to do.
Then again, maybe I’m being too harsh. Perhaps this is just an isolated incident of disrespect towards our armed forces…

“I’ve got a purple heart too, HAW HAW!”
Assholes.

it’s time to start throwing it back in their faces…
there’s enough exampmles now that PROVE that they DO NOT support the troops. All the support is Bush.
Every time they say “We Support The Troops” we need to throw it back in their faces “No- You Only Support Bush”
fucking assholes.

You and I both know that spitting on, i mean belittling veterans is just “theatre”.
It was ok with Republicans in the late 60′s, so it’s fine now too.

I’ve begun asking “support the troops” sticker folks if they actively support the troops and they, so far, have all responded, “Yes.” My next comment is, “That’s great, while I don’t have a sticker on my car, I would like to do more. . .tell me, what are you doing to actively support the troops and I’ll do the same.” So far, EVERYONE has responded, “I support the president.” I then respond, “That’s fine, but the president isn’t on the ground fighting. He’s only sending young men and women to fight and die. Surely, you don’t think that saying you support the president in anyway helps to bring back our troops alive?” At this point, they usually say one of two things. 1). F___ you!
2). Supporting the president tells the troops we support them.
Then they turn and leave. No one has engaged me in a discussion of what it means to actively support our troops. Guess the Chinese made sticker on their car is enough to make them feel they’ve done their duty.
Such a sad way to stand on the side lines and watch Americans die and feel okay about it.
