Never heard of them? Assumed it was a porn site? Nope, Suck was the original daily updated humor and deep thoughts website which had sadly come to a close many years ago now. The legacy runs deep however. I refuse to link to their most famous alumnae (...

Damn man, thanks for dredging up sad memories. I was working at the dreaded construction company the day Suck died, and the realization that one of the rare things that kept me from pitching my computer at my boss and burning myself up was gone frankly, well, sucked.

Lots of milestones exist for lots of different people, but for me, the moment that the internet's first chapter* was officially over was, (along with Salon's decision to beging charging for content, coupled with Salon's all-of-a-sudden descent into near-daily crap writing) the day suck went under.

Speaking of end-of-an-era milestones, I find it hilariously ironic that I was laid off from a Dot Com before any of my freinds were. I was a complete sucky trend setter.

*Yes, I know the internet technically existed for scientists and academics prior to 1994. Is the pre www period prologue, or chapter one? I vote prologue.
