"bold plans"? What the fuck? Here there be no bold plans, just more of the ame bullshit, I say verily. The feeling of confidence you get is caused by our shared hope that the Democrats have discovered party-unity, a sense that they're all in this together. While that is a very good thing, it is not nearly enough at all. They must offer something a little more substantial. Radical, perhaps, like what the Republicans offered in 1980 and 1994.
While large proportions of the population agreed with the specifics of the Republican programs at both times, just as they do now, they continued to vote for Republicans. The Democrats must find not only unity and spine, they must find a compelling line of bullshit. Sadly, they have a long ways to go.

I agree. The Democrats need to do something to engage the public interest, and they need to do it soon. I must say, I find myself liking Pelosi more and more.
