For instance, it's bad for a Democrat who is a judge to donate to liberal causes, liberal blogs or the Democratic party because it could indicate an inappropriate conflict of interest when they have to try a Republican, but it is alright for a Republican Congressman to transfer large amounts of corporate money to the national party and have the money transfered back to local Republican candidates who can't accept corporate money because that is in the Republican's interest.
