Damned if you do…

If you’ve ever wondered why the big conservative bloggers don’t have comments, it’s because you’ve gotta have thick skin to deal with criticism (constructive or otherwise). In addition to that, contradictory advice might be hard to understand for people who only see the world in black or white terms. Case in point, what should I make of these two comments?

“There’s a larger story here about the self-denigrating elements of hip-hop culture, as created by Whites and imposed on Blacks with their oblivious approval. You missed that story, Greg….You can do better than this.”

“Dude, lighten the fuck up. You’re a comedian, not a policy-maker. So get over yourself, or do something else… you’re depressing.”

Ahhh…the endless balance between being entertaining and being informative. You’ll never be able to please everybody, I suppose…

Any self-denigration in hip-hop culture is not created and imposed by whites (by definition: “self-”), because most of the major hip-hop producers are themselves black artists…. e.g. death row, def jam, p-diddy, jay z. Gone are the days that the only way you could record is if you followed the middle aged white guy’s instruction at RCA. I think he grossly underestimates the ability of blacks to influence their own culture…………….. And pay no attention to that other dipwad. What is depressing to him is highly entertaining to the next guy.

This website is stupid and you’re stupid and when you look in the mirror you are so stupid your butt falls off and then you choke on your own stupid…stupidness…stupidity…and then when the ambulance comes they trip over your butt and then say you’re too stupid to save so then they poop on you. Which is ironic, because you lost your butt and can no longer poop. Because you’re stupid.

    Isn’t the primary benefit of democracy that all citzens are policy-makers?

    It’s our misfortune to have a bunch of really lousy comedians running the country now.
