The cross thing makes me cringe - leave it to Marilyn Manson, please! - but then, I recall how offensive her electric-chair stage setup was to me in '04 (And I guess that's straight from "Female Trouble"!!) In the end, she did have a point with it. It wasn't a terribly deep one, but it turned out not to be gratuitous shock, as out of her depth she may be from time to time (and probably is with this).
