The same is true of doctors, nurses, social workers ... But don't get me wrong -- I think it's even more reprehensible that they voted this week to OK torture and shredded the Constitution even further. They are all such a pack of -- I can't even find the words to describe them. I'd call them pond scum, but that's unfair to pond scum. My mom -- always creative with the insults -- used to call people hemmoroids; she argued that assholes serve a very important function, but hemmoroids don't do anything but cause pain and discomfort. Anyway, those so and sos gotten away with so much -- of course, predation on children will be OK too. They'll just change the law. On the This Modern World site you comment that the "family values" voters aren't going to like the fact that a repub legislator is sending sexually explicit messages to little boys ... except, except look at the number of evangelical youth ministers, etc. who get busted for sexual molestation. They don't care about Foley's "hobby." Even the center for Missing and Exploited Children had a little commendation on their web site for all the work he's done. Jesus -- they more than anyone should know that sexual deviants who prey on children put themselves in places where they can gain access to kids. It makes me feel sick to my stomach.
