The Sky Is Falling (Again)
Regarding the imminent legalization of gay marriage in New Jersey, it’s probably worth pointing out that gay people have been getting hitched in Massachusetts for two and a half years now and the gates of Hell haven’t opened up and swallowed the entire country. The right wing’s Chicken Little crap was proven wrong a few years ago and it’s still wrong. The only thing that gay marriages have really changed is that gay people are getting married now. Big deal.

Like Whoopi Goldberg says, “If you don’t like gay amrriate, don’t go to a gay wedding.”
I do not see how any two people, that are in love with each other and want to live together, are a threat to my marriage.

I had the exact same thought the other day about Massachusetts.
I bet twenty years from now it will be legal in every state.

I’m betting that in 50 years, we look back on this time the same way that “we” of today look back on the 1920’s, with its public lynchings of blacks, Jim Crow laws, and the ubiquitous, porky white man saying over and over, “they LIKE it that way. everyone knows they’s place! why can’t these blacks {substitute the word “black” for “gay” and you’ll have the same argument} just know their place and quit trying to get special rights???!”
