Nothing says victory celebration like Pederastic Fatherhood.

Just a little post election fun, courtesy of Pandagon. Here’s just about the ickiest thing I’ve ever seen. It’s like Jesus Camp if it were produced by Jerry lee Lewis.

Hi-OOO!

Meanwhile, a lot has happened and I’m not exactly processing it all efficiently, so forgive me for an ADD run-down of my thoughts, current until I either post anew, or overedit myself, on the events of today.

1) We’ve got two years to start fixing things before it gets dirty again. Don’t waste it.

2) As if things couldn’t get any better for me, Prop 90 cold-failed.

3) Read Dan Savage’s post-defeat rinsing of all that pesky Santorum. (And nods to Amanda for doing this first.)

4) Lincoln “Have-it-both-ways Chafee was defeated. As far as I’m concerned, this almost, but not quite, makes up for Joltin’ Joe’s backstabby come back.

Like an aging, balding Britney Spears of politics, he was a conservative shill who gained fake credibility by supposedly having liberal views. Similar, in a way, to Britney’s sad hypocrisy. She did drugs, had a fair amount of premarital sex and bared her body for purposes of titliation and enrichment. And, she also claimed to be a born again Christian. She benefitted from Feminism and stabbed it in the back and thus, she was absoutely adored and supported by the saps who would otherwise denounce her like they did Madonna.

Like B-lo, Lincoln was just a have-it-both-ways chump who expressed opinions that, were he an actual liberal, would cause the Republican party to otherwise eat him alive. But rather than actually support the people who actually shared his (supposedly) liberal views by, oh, voting with them and joining their party, he instead gave aid and comfort to the mortal enemies of everything he claimed to believe in. For, one supposes, tax cuts. The conservatives knew he didn’t really like them but they knew he was more interested in his image and prestige than in doing the right thing. And they rewarded for his craven spinelessness by fending off a primary challenge from someone who would actually, and whole heartedly, support George Bush’s every wish.

Well, as poor Lincoln found out last night, sometimes, when people are given a choice between liberal and bullshit-posing-as-liberal, they choose the real thing. Good thing the Republicans spent all that money defending him from a primary challenge. Except, you know, not. Sorry Karl.

5) Seriously, Democrats, you’ve been given a second chance to do something good. Don’t mess it up.

  1. on 4) — You’re probably 100% right about Chafee’s record in the Senate, pre-lame duck. What does it say about him, though, that he’s supposedly putting the smack down on Bolton now that liberal posturing doesn’t stand to do him any good?

  2. I say he’s still a chode, but if being defeated has liberated him from any need to get republican backs, he’s welcome to do a few good deeds on his way out the door. If he chooses to grow up and join the other side, I’d welcome him but until then, he’s just another useful idiot, providing liboflage to the conservative party.
