Elizabeth: I have metastatic breast cancer, too. Our cases are quite similar, in that I was 55 when I was first diagnosed. My tumor was in the lower left quadrant of my left breast. I found it myself......not the mammogram. Me. It was less than 2 centimeters. It returned in my lung in two years. I am telling you this because I have read that you are blaming yourself for not getting regular mammograms and you think as a result your cancer has returned. I am one regular mammogrammer who's cancer returned anyway.....EVEN with a 95%+ prognosis that it would not. It's a crap shoot, Elizabeth. Not your fault. Do you hear me???? Not your fault. I just really wanted you to know that. Hang in there, Sister. It's a rough ride. Blessings to you and your family, Sandra

The wife beating joke was only "playful" because it was done by a Democrat. I've been googling that comment to see if the MSM would mention it. So far, nothing. Had a Republican pulled the same faux pas, the MSM would have pounced like vultures on dead a elephant.

Ah, but the MSM will say, "Biased? We're not biased!" That's like the cowboy waking up strapped to his bunk in the barn, shouting to his bunk house mates, "Snore? I don't snore!"

Mr Edwards did say he would not run unless his wife had a clean bill of health. She did have one at the beginning. From seeinig both of them in the public eye for the last ten years and reading their books I have figured out that they are a very strong couple and will be able to face whatever comes their way. I do think she wants him to continue and they will do wel I give her my best and my vote and support to Mr. Edwards.

Perhaps Elizabeth wants him to run--regardless of her health.<br />

That's their business, not ours.

Don't you really think the right thing to do is what Edwards said before deciding to enter the campaign?

He said (see my blog for cites) he would not run unless his wife had a clean bill of health.

This is a serious situation for them--and the type of person I consider a real man would give up his ambition in a situation like this.

I'd be totally OK with President Edwards. He's smart, and God knows we need to get some brains in the White House; and he has what looks like a real concern for the common man, a group I belong to.
