Why? Because he is a trained actor. Actors know how to emote. Actors have stage presence. Actors know how to work a crowd. Actors know how to reach an audience. Politics today is more about show than substance. Actors know all about show. I think any of the Democrats could beat any of the currently declared Republicans. I think if he decides to run Thompson's performance skills would make him hard to beat. We need to take him seriously because he "plays in Peoria."
