“Woke up this morning…”
I think the only thing I won’t miss about the Sopranos is that awful theme song. With the last episode this Sunday, I can’t stop wondering how it’s all going to end. Any guesses? I’ll put mine in the extended entry for those who haven’t seen the last few episodes.
My guesses :
- Tony’s family will be confronted with undeniable proof that Tony is a selfish, violent thug that cuts through all of their willful ignorance about what Tony does for a living. Maybe they’ll see Tony kill a guy with his bare hands or they’ll hear proof that Tony ordered Adrianna’s murder. At the end of the episode, each member of Tony’s family will show themselves to be as morally questionable as Tony himself as they once again choose to overlook the blood that’s been shed to maintain their lifestyle. Like every other season ender, the last shot will be the four of them eating dinner or something.
- Paulie isn’t a rat working with the NY mob. If he was, it would validate Tony’s paranoia from a few episodes back.
- Carmela, Tony, Meadow, and AJ will all survive the episode.
- The whole Agent Harris terrorism case that’s been popping up throughout the season will somehow be involved in the finale.
- the NY/NJ war will end early in the episode. Little Carmine will help Tony’s crew whack Phil and he’ll take over.
Being The Sopranos, I’d be willing to bet that the episode ends on an anti-climactic note. What do you think will happen?

“Awful theme song”? You’ve got to be kidding. Not only is the theme song a masterpiece, but the rest of A3′s “Exile on Coldharbour Lane” is a hoot, as well. “Hypo Full of Love”, “U Don’t Danz 2 Tekno Anymore”, and my personal favorite: “Mao Tse Tung Said”. The fact that someone from the production company chose (and David Chase approved) of a song from that CD adds a beautifully twisted subtext to the Sopranos decade.
