  1. Yay for the Blue Hearts! They’re probably the reason I joined the Red Hearts (and Kind Hearts). And now that I’ve been watching them on YouTube all day, I want to get a copy of the musical “Linda Linda Linda.” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6YX_MpiRIw&NR=1

  2. Merci Beaucoup for Plastic Bertrand! There are French translations of the song online, and it’s kind of gibberish! In 1982, I was asking a French teacher if she’d try and translate it for me. Time flies. The second one is great too, though it seems to have quit a minute or so before the end.

The third one, Boum!, well, I couldn’t find a translation of it online, so I made my own.

    BOOM!
    [trans by Babelfish & me]

    Ornamental clock goes tick-tock-tick
Birds around the lake go chick-chick-chick
    Glou-glou-glou the turkeys sing
And the little bell goes ding-dong-ding

    But… boom!
When both our hearts go boom
All of the world says boom
And it is love, that’s awaking

    Boom!
    Life warbles “Love in Bloom”
    In rhythm with the boom
Chanting its boom for the taking

Everything changed yesterday on the street
Since your eyes first turned to me
Cornflower blue, and your small hands so neat
    Sun rising over the sea

    Boom!
Star of the day goes boom
    Everything answers boom
When our hearts bloomed with a boom-boom

Cold wind in the forest moaned ooo-ooo
Sheep out in the field went ba-a-a-a
    Broken china dishes broke crash-crash
    Children’s feet in puddles splash-splash-splash

    But… boom!
When our hearts beat their boom
    Everything else says boom
Birdies say boom, like the thunder

    Boom!
    Lightning flashed with a boom
    And god above says boom
Up in the clouds we sit under

My love for you is more sharp than the flash
Brighter than birds and the bees
If it goes boom with the thunder of doom
Wonders it brings with the breeze

    Boom!
All of the world goes boom
    Everything echoes boom
When both our hearts go boom-boom
