I like Paul’s stance on the war, and I am a little uncomfortable with his loony libertarian leanings, BUT….

which Democrat out there consistently voted against the gradual takeover of fascism over the last 7 years? Certainly isn’t Hillary (voted FOR the war, FOR the Patriot Acts, FOR the Military Commissions Act). Obama, while he voted against the war and I’m not presently aware of his voting record on the Patriot Acts and Military Commissions Act, still doesn’t seem too interested in holding this heinous criminal in office to account.
Ron Paul also asks tough questions about 9/11. Are all of y’all done with 9/11? is it “too far in the past” for you?
Which Dem candidate has even the shred of cajones necessary to address this Reichstag Fire for our generation?

For me, I support Ron Paul out of exasperation with the utter pussies in the Democratic Party, and the bilious, fascist Republicans. Not ONE candidate other than Paul has the courage to say ANYTHING about 9/11, or the need to repeal the Patriot Acts (unless I’m wrong about Obama), or the need to impeach Cheney and Bush (in that order).

the traditional 2 party system doesn’t work. we need to clean house. Who in the current arena is willing to do it? is it Paul? or someone else? I’m open to ideas….

Ron Paul and his ilk believe that everything should be left to the states, as if state governments aren’t colossal fuck ups, so that they get to shirk their responsibility as Americans and human beings while not having to pay income tax. You know where America would be without a strong federal government? In the trash can of history.

Maybe if these anti-voter politicians would do a little fact-checking before they post their ghost-written screeds, then people would start believing what they read.

But I’m sure it’s the liberal media’s fault. Or Hillary. I hear the liberal media and Hillary and the Illuminati get together bi-weekly for a bowling league/discussion on how to smear Ron Paul.

He can disavow all he likes — if you found it on his site, with his name on it, he hasn’t disavowed it enough. Maybe he’s leaving it up there for the people who like those retarded arguments. But it’s not like any politician in history has ever tried to have his cake and eat it, too, right?

I appreciate what you’re trying to do, Greg, but if liberal Ron Paul supporters weren’t convinced by your first post, they probably aren’t going to be convinced by any facts. Although reading between the lines, the respondents who claim to be socially liberal don’t actually strike me as actually being socially liberal, except for opposing the war on drugs.

As for the ghostwriter thing, most major political speeches aren’t written by the politician either. So by the Paul defense, we can’t hold Bush responsible for reading from a script about yellowcake in Niger during his State of the Union address.

Now, how about addressing the substance of that article you copied, regarding the Electoral College? Seems more important to me than making an example out of a lone RP supporter.
