What really shocked me was I was at the CNN web site at least twice last week, just surfing the headlines, and so help me goddess there was no mention of the NIE document! How could that be? I knew I should be looking for news about Iran but there was nothing there! This confuses me, because they've been pretty good at times about picking up stories other outlets, like NBC and of course Fox, have been tending to ignore or give very little play to. Damn, what a pity we can't depend on our news reporting outlets to report any more!

Media Criticism in Five Words:
"TURN OFF YOUR FUCKING TELEVISION."

No more Hardball, no more Russert, no more O'Reilly, no more ads ads ads ads ads. No more Olbermann complaining about the first three.

There is a big, important election approaching--people should spend less time determining precisely how shitty each candidate is, and more time figuring out what is important to them, personally.

Should my four year old daughter be able to get a safe and legal abortion in (please God more than) 10+ years?
Should I pay a parcel tax every damn year to fund the local school because California's property taxes are so totally FUCKED?
Do our soldiers need to come home before we spend more blood and treasure for something no one can wrap their heads around anymore?
Should my senator be SO AFRAID of being "soft on terror" that she'll pass whatever pap the hawks want?

It's time to be furious, locally, regionally, and nationally. Civility be damned.

Saving Britney from what? The choices she made herself? Doesn't the whole idea of prayer being used to change someone go against the whole "God gave man free will" thing? She made her bed, and no amount of wishful thinking is going to make her change her personality. Thanks CNN!
