It took a serious challenge to her rise to power before she found something she could seriously fight against.

Where was this toughness when the Patriot Act sailed through Congress or when we rushed to war in Iraq or on telecom immunity, net neutrality, torture, or any one of dozens of other issues in which Clinton has failed to take the lead.

Of course he's going to endorse her--he knows McCain would clean her clock in the general election. It's basically the same thing as raiding a primary.
