“I hear the jury’s still out on science”

Hillary Clinton’s devotion to the oil company handout disguised as tax relief that she stole from McCain is just sad. The more she pushes the point, the more she looks like a shameless panderer and makes Obama, by contrast, look like someone willing to make the right choice even when it’s politically unpopular.

  1. The results seem to bear your analysis out, Greg.

Most of the mainstream media have never quite grasped that he’s running a high toned, high minded campaign. There is often one guy in every Presidential field who does that, but they’re usually gone after New Hampshire. This year is different but they can’t seem to make themselves recognize that.

  2. Indeed. A broken watch is more accurate than the majority of pundits. At least it’s right twice a day.

Also, an obvious benefit of the Rev. Wright controversy: The right-wingers can no longer imply that Obama is Muslim without looking like complete morons.

  3. Make her look like more of a panderer? Ever since she co-sponsored that RIDICULOUS flag-burning amendment she has been made of bullshit to me. I haven’t been able to stomach her for years.

  4. …Obama backed a similar thing in Illinois that actually did kinda work, even though he wants to say it didn’t. And he’s taken about $1.3 million from Exxon, Shell, and other major oil companies.

It’s rarely about the “kind of campaign” a candidate runs, and more about each candidate’s supporters and their behavior. I have relatively few problems with Obama, but I have plenty of issues with those who support him. There’s been a lot of insults, insinuations, and hyperbole. And I have to ask what exactly it accomplishes.

  5. There’s no doubt that they’re both corporate whores, like any candidate who ever gets this far. This particular hangup of Hillary’s, though, distinguishes her from Obama because she seems to consistently treat her entire audience like idiots. That, I’m sick of.

Brad, I’d be interested to know why you think there’ve been more insults from Obama’s supporters to Hillary’s than the reverse; I’ve found it kind of difficult to quantify either side but I am guessing it is very likely others will have a better grasp on the blogosphere than me.

  6. It shows that Hillary is almost as conservative as McCain.
